Story

In 2012, my son was born, and by the age of two, we began to notice that his comprehension was developing while his speech remained limited. After nearly a year, he received a diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss, classified as second degree. This prompted my interest in understanding the auditory experiences of individuals with partial hearing loss. Consequently, I discovered a mobile application designed to facilitate this understanding.

How to Use

I did not conduct any formal medical tests to assess its efficacy. However, when I modified my voice using the app, I was able to hear myself as my son might perceive speech. It is important to place the microphone at an adequate distance from the speaker you wish to test. For optimal adjustment of the audiogram, users can utilize either the Setup button or finger gestures on the audiogram grid. Headphones are recommended for enhanced audio clarity.
